Silver Creek finance students learn from entrepreneurs

SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WAVE) – As seniors at Silver Creek Substantial College get ready to graduate, people in the finance application were being satisfied by some specific attendees to enrich their entrepreneurial spirits.

A group of accomplished enterprise specialists came to communicate, including:

  • Elizabeth Kizito, or as a lot of know her, the Kizito “Cookie Woman.”
  • Mike Lee of Overall Truck Parts. His grandson’s truly in the senior course
  • Ashley Porres, a latest Silver Creek graduate who now runs her personal boutique in Clarksville.
  • Kevin Grangier, a graduate of Silver Creek and a restaurateur liable for adventures like Le Moo and Village Anchor.

The speakers were content to supply guidance but also get some in.

“It was pleasant knowing that the college students ended up mastering from my story, from our story,” claimed Porres, “and it was great understanding from Kevin [Grangier] especially, for the reason that he’s up there. He’s built it.”

Porres, who is now however in faculty, labored four careers at when as she developed her boutique in her bed room just before opening her storefront. Learners at the large faculty explained it is wonderful to study from individuals like her.

“It’s actually essential to discover about entrepreneurship and see it firsthand from area small business entrepreneurs,” claimed senior Emme Rooney. “A handful of of them even went to Silver creek, so it’s inspiring to hear people’s success stories and to be able to admire these who have been in our sneakers and have moved on to better items.”

This was the 25th yearly Panel of Entrepreneurs set on by the Silver Creek Large Faculty Academy of Finance Learners.
